Hallucigenia Open Call
HALLUCIGENIA is a virtual mentoring space for projects in the intersection of Arts+Sciences. The goal of the mentoring sessions is to work with the selected projects in development stage, offering specialized and personalized advice with relevant mentors in each field.
From the mentoring sessions, a winning project will be chosen for the Hallucigenia Incentive Award.
HALLUCIGENIA will take place in virtual format during the month of December and is part of H20, Art-Science seed funding initiative by British Council Argentina and Fundación Williams. Hallucigenia is produced by SeirenFilms and Pulpofilms. There’s no fee to submit a project to Hallucigenia.
From the Hallucigenia Mentoring sessions, a winning project will emerge with a cash prize of 100,000 Argentine pesos or its equivalent in Pounds.
Mechanics
The call will be open from October 28th to January 28th at 11:59 p.m. (Argentine time)
The applicants should:
A. Complete the online form.
B. Attach a Project Folder (only document in pdf format), containing the requested documentation.
C. Applicants must prove residence in Latin America or the United Kingdom.
Selection
From the pool of completed applications, the appointed jury will select 6 projects and their representatives to be invited to the Hallucigenia Mentoring Sessions.
The selected participants will be notified via email and on social networks on December 8th 2021.
Dynamics
The Hallucigenia Mentoring Sessions will take place virtually over 3 days, during February 2022.
The activities are virtual, private, and will have the presence of a moderator who will facilitate the conversation and work for the participants and tutors.
Hallucigenia Incentive Award
From the group of 6 participating projects, a selected jury will choose one project to be the recipient of the Hallucigenia Incentive Award. The award will be announced on the first week of February 2022.

Those interested in participating should:
A. Online Form
1.Bio of the applicant.
2. Project Summary, Synopsis or Abstract.
3. Motivation and goals to discuss during the Hallucigenia mentorship.
4. A brief explanation on how the project fits within the Arts-Sciences framework
B. Attach a Project Folder ( document in pdf format), containing the requested documentation (files up to 100MB):
Project Folder: technical specs with the following information: name of the project, genre, platform, estimated duration, country of production and / or co-production, production team; distinctions - awards - and / or participations of the project in festivals, markets and / or laboratories; estimated amount of production; web or project networks -if any- Visual treatment. Extra material if any.
Compliance with all the requirements here requested is essential for the validity of the application. Affiliated entities of British Council, SeirenFilms and Pulpo Films are not eligible to apply to Hallucigenia.
The results of the call will be announced on December 8th via email to the selected participants, and through publications in various media and social networks.
